1955 penny... Die deterioration or MD?

    I think this is die deterioration but, could this be mechanical doubling?

    im not an expert, but it looks like (MD) to me

    I cannot tell from the photo provided. Maybe if there were arrows pointing to the area in question? It sorts of looks like the lighter area above the numbers could be MD, maybe it is my monitor, but I am not sure...

    No, I don't see it either. The photo is kind of dark and blurry and the reflections of light can fool you.

    I put some arrows in to show the deteriorating lines and tried to lighten up the photo.

    If the areas you're pointing to are thin, and is mostly differentiated by a change in surface contrast, I would agree and suggest mild machine doubling.

    Yes by the new pic now its established that'e it's MD the flat like shelf images.
