1955 Lincoln Cent Rim Error?

    Not sure if this is any kind of error but it looks like the rim is missing and wide. Any help?

    looks interesting, I'm almost positive that's PMD though.

    The rim is the same on the reverse so not sure if it was stamped that way but it stood out.

    It is an encased coin that has been removed from the encasement.

    hobo is correct that is damage that was caused when they encased the coin into one of those holders. i have several similar to it
