    Happens all the time. You see similar chips in the loop of the 9 and the crooks of the 5s.

    The space in-between B and E of Liberty had so many die cracks, across many years, that there used to be a club to collect them. They called them "BIE" errors. The club went defunct decades ago, but you'll still hear people talk about them now and then. The premiums used to be large, but they now trade for pretty much the same price as a normal coin. I think the BIE club put out a book or pamphlet with their collected research (but I can't locate it).
