Could also be a minor die chip. Doesn't add anything to the value.

Welcome to CT! I vote for minor die chip - interesting but not worth anything on its own. The rest of the coin may be interesting if we knew the date & had full pics of both sides. That may be where the value is. Oh, I see the heading states 1955.

I don’t know if anyone remembers this error, we saw a coin with this die chip about two months ago the general agreement was this is a die chip. Cool to see another so soon!

Derrick2000, if you can catch this die chip on the left wheat stalk, you will be able to catch the high dollar variety or error; I believe there are still a few of the White Whale Five Figure $$$$$ coins still out there in circulation. I dare you to find one.

What on earth is a "White Whale Five Figure $$$$$" coin?

    I've never heard of a WWFF$$$$$ coin.

1955 doubled die, 1969 S doubled die. Thumb through Cherry Pickers Guide.

1917,1922 no date. I was trying to encourage the new member, heck, his coin is a 1955, we haven't seen the other side.

Coin wise, Billy was bribed, attempted, with two gold guineas to commit mutiny, the guinea were named after the African country where the gold was probably mined, it weighed one quarter ounce and minted between 1663 and 1814 and probably bore the bust of James II and equaled one pound Sterling.
