1955 ddo? thoughts

    Where are you seeing doubling?

    There should be doubling on the date and In God We Trust.

    I assume you are referring to the second 5 in the date and maybe something on the first 5. Without better pictures it's hard to tell.

    Looks just like die deterioration doubling !

    Bman, it is what magazines and ebay call poorman's double die, which is die deterioration due to die overuse. The terminology is used to fool the unknowing, and the coin still may sell. They are available at almost every coin show for a dollar or two. Jim
