Would this coin be worth the price? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230452919452&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Hello, I looked at the auction and did not see a grade on that PCGS slab, makes me nervous. I'd probably pass on it. Regards, Stan
The .97 means that PCGS says it is environmentally damaged. The seller debates that. However, even though he says he thinks it might get a clear regrade, he decided not to resubmit it himself. It appears the deep brown color before corrosion occurs to me. Even in the slab, it could continue to react. It is not a bad price, it is a risky price. Jim
It has been slabbed genuine - with a 97 code In this case, my guess is the color. Nothing earth-shattering, but it still has not been graded. You can get a problem free AU58 for $1700 - $2000. I am going to guess that it is already north of where it belongs.
Yep I agree with that. Once again a very hard sale down the line. Net graded coins and coins with problems are twice as hard if not harder to sell.
