Look at this auction and tell me what you think! http://cgi.ebay.com/1955-doubled-di...ms=66:2|65:1|39:1|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:50
1) Blury Pictures 2) zero feedback. 3) poor English (altho very few one on eBay can speak or write in English); 4) All key dates (55 DDO; 09SVDB; 1922 Plain) 5) that 09 S, VDB looks as fake as they come; 6) All raw coins; 7) PUNT!!!!!
Here is the result of the S-VDB http://cgi.ebay.com/1909-S-VDB-linc...ms=66:2|65:1|39:1|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:50 I saved the seller and will check his feedback in the future to see how happy the buyers are! :headbang:
NO! For the reasons stated above and then a few more. Those are both fakes, both are completely OBVIOUS! Look at how the date is aligned! LOLOLOLOL Some poor (and VERY dumb) sap just got bilked out of $723!
Obvious scam! Seller sold 3 key Lincolns: 1909-S VDB: http://cgi.ebay.com/1909-S-VDB-lincoln-penny-nice-coin-N-R_W0QQitemZ170328821877 1922-D no D: http://cgi.ebay.com/1922-no-D-plain-lincoln-penny-nice-coin-N-R_W0QQitemZ170328820397 1955-DDO: http://cgi.ebay.com/1955-doubled-die-lincoln-penny-nice-coin-N-R_W0QQitemZ170328818887 That alone, considering they didn't sell anything else and are new and conflicting locations, says SCAM! :goof: 3 koinz netted the scammer almost 2 grand. Now, to keep the scammer from receiving a single penny for their pennies. Ribbit
OK. The consensus is , that the three listings by this seller are forgeries. Has anyone reported this to EBAY yet ?
What confuses me ( well maybe) is why buyers with 700,4200,5000+ feedbacks, and most feedbacks are in coins, would bite? it would be Bad Karma for me to wonder if the coins are soon to re appear on ebay backed by more feedback than this seller had. Maybe everyone knew what they got. Bad Jim ( no relation to Bad Thad)
What else is funny....they all look exactly the same! DOH! LOL@Jim .....ahhhh...you can call me your brother man!
It is most likely a cleverly worn out counterfeit. It is most likely a cleverly worn out counterfeit.
The problem with reporting them to Ebay is Ebay will remove the listings and we won't have any clue if the losing bidders get their money back so it's better to NOT report these and wait for feedback to be left and notify the losing bidder of what they actually purchased so they can file a SNAD dispute with PayPal to get a full refund. I'm in the process of doing that now, with our NV forgerer. Ribbit
Just an aside, you say: Benjamin Harrison Peters III (there will not be a forth) hmmmm.... Don't you mean a fourth? (4th) or will you not go forth?
