Can someone out there give me an idea what I should pay for a '55D Quarter in well worn condition ? I have book 2 (1946-1959) filled except for it.
I asked a couple of dealers at the local clubs if they could help me, but they never got back to me. I'm guessing that since I'm not a regular custom they're not interested in my paltry business. I've gotten most of my coins from circulation through the last 50 years.

I would pay no more than a dollar over melt, which for a quarter is about $2 right now. If you can find one for exactly that, you got a deal. It really depends on how much you want it. If you wait a while, I'm sure you can come across a cheap one, but then you have to wait. It's really up to you.
