Hard to tell from the angle. Can you get a straight on photo?

Hard to tell from that angle. I do see some die deterioration near the last 5 and a crack mark on the head. These are common on this year.

Can you take a pic from above rather then from the side? I'd like to see if it really is a struck through.

Very hard to tell from the photo but a guess, maybe several die cracks in the hair.

  8. The coin rim seems to be rolled as you see how in god we trust just makes it into the rim of the coin. That would explain why the L in liberty is missing.A friend i know bought a bracelet that had coins that looked like this. The holders on it had the coins pressed into it.It seemed the coins had been spooned to be smaller so they would fit into the holders that the coins were pressed into.Seems by doing it the coins even with the holders in place were normal size because the coin it self was a bit smaller.I could tell the rims on each coin were much deeper than normal coins. Maybe your coin is one like those that i saw.Have you tried placeing your coin on top of another penny to see if its the same size? The dime coins were what gave it away as the one that came out of its holder was much smaller than a dime should be and its the one that made me look at the others she had on the bracelet.

Like the others said, take the pic straight on. From the angle, it looks like either scratches, die cracks or a lamination.
