Found this 1955 Cent while searching rolls. What is going on between the B & E. I can't tell if the tops of the 55 are doubled or is that PMD ?

Is the material from a worn out die between the letters?

It is a 'BIE'. These were caused by a die chip in the letters. They were somewhat common in the '50s and were popular to collect. I'm not sure what kind of premium they command.
