1954S Filled 9 Lincoln Wheat Cent. Need info.

    I have no experience with error coins. So any help or info on what's going on with this coin would be appreciated.

    I believe that would be a die chip. Since the loop of the 9 (where yours is filled) is a small area, as well as it being raised on the die in relation to the outline of the 9 it would be fairly easy for such a small spot to break off. I see it alot on the mintmarks on 80's Quarters. As far as value though I can't help you there.

    Yep, a die chip. You'll find this on a lot of the 1950's era cents.

    Oh ok cool. Did not expect it to worth a whole lot or anything. It was just very obvious to spot out after looking through a whole lot of wheat cents. Definitely a keeper though.
