I found four of these today in a roll. Anyone care to give me a grade? I'm thinking XF 40.

Looks UNC to me. Nice pick!

I think I see wear on the cheek, lower jaw, coat, and some on the reverse. I would say AU-55 without seeing in hand. Nice RPM-002.

Are varieties like this worth slabbing? Or should I just mark the variety and file it in my notebook?

I recently found a 1930 s rpm thats very nice as well, and it is UNC. im definitily not going to slab it cause its not really so collectible, and these are mostly minor rpm. I hope this helps, but I could be wrong. I know many major rpd/rpm out there.

The RPM's not so much. The way they're valued, it wouldn't be worth paying the grading fees. An over mint mark such as an S/D or D/S would be worth paying for grading if the initial raw condition warrants it. I agree with Jim, nice RPM!

Cool. Thanks guys! I'm starting on 300 1960 era cents, so fingers crossed I'll have something to post later.

The 1960-D Lincoln is a biggie. There's a combination doubled die and RPM that is very sought after.
