I was looking through a box of old wheat pennies, and this one caught my eye. I know it's an error, but I'm pretty new to coin collecting and don't know what it's worth or what it's called. Thanks in advance for any help. I'm sorry about the pictures, but there is a big blob over the 'e' in liberty and one in the top right corner.
Cool coin. Wheat cents are what got most of us started coin collecting.... Now honestly it is difficult to tell anything from your photo's. But I'll tell you that my first impression is that what you are seeing is glue residue. It was not at all uncommon for folks to glue coins into folders once upon a time. Either way, cool coin!
