1954 S 1c die chip?

I'm on a roll with interesting anomalies this week. This 1954 S with a nice die chip in between b & e but also on date. Digit 4 shows the extension and wanted to confirm if it also is a die chip.

Neat. It is known as a BIE

Since it is a result of a worn die the extension of the 4 is caused by Die Deterioration. Such as in the 1955 Poor Man's Doubled Die.. (Not a true Doubled die)

BIE's are the most common in the 50's and 60's, but they can happen to any year of Lincoln.
