This looks a little like the 1938 nickel D over S to me. Not sure about it, 20190130_190640_Burst01.jpg 20190130_191119.jpg 20190130_190527.jpg so I post it for more expert advise. Thanks

3 strikes, I should be out, but maybe it doesn't show in the pictures. There's something that's inside that D that I even had my daughter look at with strong light and the loop. She's only 24 and doesn't need glasses to tie her shoes like me. I won't bet you anything, but I will take it to a professional for a opinion where they can look in reality at it before I toss it back in the bag. But I do respect and appreciate all your input, so thank you.

See all the circulation wear on the words? Look at CENTS carefully.. hits and nicks.
Same thing happens to the Mint Mark.

It's not a D over S. The images are good enough to see that.

Send it in for grading and slabbing!

It could be a small minor die chip. It's really not worth the time to do so. I'm a few years older than you but still learning so stick around and your knowledge will increase.

Thank you, and I have already learned a lot from you and others. I know that I have much to understand and will attempt to glean all I can from the members here. I do believe that the nickel is no doubled die when all of you tell me so, but I would like to have someone see it and tell me what I've misinterpreted.
