1954 D Cent

    Hi.
    I found what looks like a wrong planchet error on my 1954D penny. It's not the same width as a penny and no marks to make it look like it was grounded away. Any help on this?

    It looks like nothing more than a cent that's had a rather rough life to me.

    There are literally countless ways a coin can be damaged. Consider it all part of the learning experience. :)

    Coins can be acid washed and it reduces the size and weight but usually leaves most of the fine details in place if you do it right. Probably not the case but thought you might like to know. And welcome to CT.
