From what I can gather from what you said:
    1) Grease filled die (likely)
    2) Wear (just as likely)

I don't think that it is wear do to the fact that nothing else on it is worn

    Ummmm......the coin is very worn.

As to the missing devices, it's very hard to tell from the pic.
When you scan, increase your pixels to max and then crop your image so we don't get the extra background. That should give more detail. Don't reduce the size of your pic, the software here does it automatically and then we can enlarge it by clicking on it.

It's the rim that is missing. Looks like PMD to me. The coin may have been encased or squeezed in some other device.

Yes, coin does look very worn.

It's not very worn, it's about a VF-EF coin. It's a dryer coin, the rim has been worked over and went into the devices and fields. PMD, worth 1 cent or perhaps 5 cents mixed into a lot of wheats.

Hobo if it was squeezed in something then the L and half of the I in LIBERTY would be on it some where just smashed down right??

I'm guessing that some press operator was bored at work. Post a picture of the reverse. If the details look flattened, that would be the case

I just compared it laying down next to two other pennys and thay are the same height. So if it was smashed down it would be thiner right??

Yes. I would assume they have been obliterated.

Well the L and most of the I are gone not on there at all. I looked at the coin from every possible way and not even a hint that they where even on there.

That's what I meant by 'obliterated'.

obliterate - 1. to remove or destroy all traces of; do away with; destroy completely.
    2. to blot out or render undecipherable (writing, marks, etc.); efface.
