    Looks like a Die Chip. Common on Cents minted in the 1950's and 1960's

    Die chip for sure. They were collected at one time but there is almost no interest now and little to no extra value.

    LWC stands for Lincoln Wheat Penny... errrm Cent.

    For a while, these were referred in the Cherrypicker's Guide as being a misplaced D in the date because of its shape. But that was on a Denver minted coin. I think it's since been debunked as the RPM.

    I'd keep it. You never know when the pendulum might swing back to favor die chips once again.
