1952 D Roosevelt

    At first I thought this might be a D over a slightly rotated D (clockwise), but after I got a closer look, I have no Idea. It doesn't appear to be caused by damage and I'm pretty sure it's not an S underneath.

    Looks like a cud to me.

    I am probably wrong, but I thought a cud was along the edge? I would call this a die chip. Not an expert, though.

    Could be a cud, but looked a little more defined to be a cud. I dunno...

    A cud is just a die break gone bad. It can show up just about anyplace.
