1952 Carver-Washington

    Picked up this Commemorative pretty cheap. Figured, why not, seems like an overlooked commemorative and adds to my half dollar collection.

    I like it. It's a nice coin but why do you think it is over looked?

    Doesn't seem like there's too many people that collect it. Though I can't really blame them. The mintages are pretty high and their not that rare. Plus it's multi year.

    I would think most folks who collect classic commems do so by type instead of by date and mintmark. Therefore, pieces issued over extended periods of time like the OR, TX, Boone, AR, WC or BTW tend to have plentiful supplies.

    I hope you don't mind, but I just received this one in the mail today from eBay. It had nice color, and was pretty cheap, as they usually are. The design is so flat, it either needs booming luster or attractive toning to catch my eye.
