1951S MM differences

    i have two 1951S pennies that the mint mark is in different spots plus they may have a struck through grease problem. is one mm location more valuable than the other?

    there are no certain place that a mintmark has to be. this is normal for them to be this way. back when these coins were made the mint marks were placed on the coin dies by hand.

    Yep, this. Up through what? I think some point in the '80's, all the MM's were handpunched.
