So I purchased a 1951 proof nickel and Franklin half & a 1952 proof dime and quarter. For 35$ ( amazing price ) off a small auction site in the Midwest. I just want to double check with you guys . That the nickel has machine doubling on the reverse I’m going to say ? Or die deterioration . From what I’m learning, it doesn’t appear to be true “doubling” I apologize for lack of a over pic of the reverse. I’m not in front of the coin currently

    I will say Mechanical doubling.
Proof coins are struck twice so it's the effect it sometimes seen.
