Thought I'd share a recent pick-up for face.

The story goes something like this. The day before I was at a bank where most of the tellers know that I collect small face bills. When one teller asked another if he had any of those bills, the teller paused for a very long sec and said that he had a bunch of old $20's and mentioned one of them was a series 1950. I could tell he wanted it so I said he found it first and that I didn't want to take it from him, though of course it would have been so nice to have done so. Skip ahead to the next day when my friendly teller at another bank showed me what she had been saving for me and low and behold this was included:

Felt it was a little payback for the day before. Those 1950's series don't come around everyday.

Wow, nice pickup. I'm not a collector of paper money but I really enjoy seeing things like this. Gotta get RickyB in here....:smile

I'm here Green18...and that is a nice pickup...too bad about the inked "2" on the face!! It looks to be high end XF to AU and that would bring 2-2.5 x face ...
Not sure how it would play out with the marked up face but still a nice note and worth some premium.

Urban likes the Chitown notes, maybe he will be along shortly??

Very nice! I'm working on figuring out how to remove ink. I'll post here if I ever figure it out. That ink looks fresh, so it might come out easily. At your own risk, hairspray or alcohol has been know to remove ink stains.
