1950 E S F FRN sell or spend

    definetely a keeper:thumb:. the 1950 E seems to be a key note for a lot of the denominations. hold onto that baby. in that condition i would say its about a $250-$400 note. nice find. i know i have a $10 1950 E from Chi-town.

    i will be leaving for Iraq thursday i will take your e mail with me .I took a Quick at world bills few you dont hav i will be travelin i will keep you in mind . you got some damm nice bills you need some 50 s and 100 s and stars

    1950 E is indeed a tough series.

    That note should easily go for $150-200.

    Only problem is that I've only seen about 4 E series in circulation. Never a 50 or 100. :(

    The 1950E's are scarcer, because they were printed using the older "wet" paper technique that used paper that the Fed hadn't purchased in awhile from Crane, but still had in stock. Beginning with the 1963 series, the Fed printed notes using a "dry" paper process, but the "wet" printed notes continued to be printed until ca. 1965-1966 or so.

    I got a Series 1950E $50 Star note a couple of months ago, and sold it, but it sold for far less than the catalogue price would have suggested, but I still made a nice profit it on it.

    2,736,000 printed...hard fold (center) knocks it down to VF to XF Based on the pic I see
    ....nice find.
