I have this Franklin half dollar (that's been cleaned :() that has what looks to be a cud on the obverse at about 10 o'clock. I thought it was PMD at first, but there's no damage on the rim on the reverse. I find it interesting that it's only on the rim and does not go into fields. What do you think? I had a hard time finding that one. I was looking for a cud but that’s a rim cud and it’s a nice one.

Is it possible this is a fin that folded over and has worn from circulation?
