Bought my first coin rolls of half dollars. From a bank in a small town. The clerk was happy to get rid of the four rolls someone turned in. Is this a God one? Thanks for any input.

What do you mean by "God" one? If you meant good, then yes, you picked up a silver half dollar for the cost of 50 cents. That's a great pickup.

Thank you. I am learning that I might be a little too optimistic about what I see and what the reality is. I just started, which is probably clear, thanks for the input.

Was at a coin show yesterday, and there was a large bin of Franklin's that the dealer was selling for $8 each.

The 1950 D is a somewhat better date in MS64 fbl upwards.
In the condition of your coin /appr. xf45 it is just melt plus a small agio of one buck.
But still a nice piece of history.

Looks like there is a crack on your bell..that might lessen the value. :wacky:

But it's a doubled die. The L in DOLAR is doubled.

Oh wow. I'll look at it again. I was told a lot of the doubling is usually just caused by the machine

Ummm.. We were joking. I said there was a crack on the bell. In actuality it's part of the design. And the other member said that the L in DOLAR was doubled. Get it? DOLLAR.. 2 LL's

Sorry man. Nice coin though! :wideyed:
