I am about to go through about 20 rolls of nickels labeled 1950-1959 what dates or errors should i keep an eye out for if any?
It really depends what you're looking for. If it were me, I'd be keeping all of them. 1950-D is the obvious choice, but you likely won't have any of those. During my searches through large collections of circulated Jeffersons, I've found that 1950, 1951-S, 1955, and 1958 are particularly hard to find. I can't tell you how many thousands of Jeffersons I've searched, and I still don't have a whole roll of 1955 coins. Naturally, the 1950-D coins are the toughest to find circulated, and I've had to buy those one-at-a-time.

well i found... 3 buffalo nickels cant make out the date, a 1936 buffalo nickel, a 1940 nickel with a larger than normal 0, 1 1942-p war nickel,2 1942-s war nickel, 8 1943-p war nickels, 1 1943-d war nickel, 1 1943-s war nickel,4 1944 p war nickels, 1 1944-d war nickel, 1 1944-s war nickel, 2 1945-p war nickels, 1 1945-d war nickel, 2 1945-s war nickels, a 1958 nickel, and a 1960 nickel with a 0 that connects the edge of the coin Are any of these valuable at all? please help me thank you =D
I would keep them all, the money you get would not be worth not having them IMO. 1936 from 1 to 40 dollars 1940 would need pics if it's an error wars from 1 to 20 unless an error than up to 620(1943 3/2) 1958 40c to 4$ 1960 up to 1.60$ (unless an error) pics would help out alot more all prices are from red book
yes im thinking the 1960 is an error the 0 has an extra little bit connecting it to the edge i may have pics soon
nvm camera isn going to work but the only way i can describe the 1940 is the top of the zero is very thick
but if the 1960 0 was doubled as well as the 1940 what would the value be? thanks for the help btw guys
Hey guy, you gotta change your name!!!! Your camera doesn't work and you call yourself nikon???? The irony didn't miss me! LOL!!!!
lol my name is nikon from a character from the movie hackers not after the nikon camera although right now i wish i had one
I have 2 of those. One was found in change and the other purchased for $1.50. They actually are kind of common and are not that valuable.
Yeah, those are called the "bar-O" variety. I understand that when they first came out they were extremely popular, but there are a ton of them out there. I think I've got about a dozen of them I pulled from a large lot I was searching. I think they might go for a buck apiece, if you can find someone that wants them.
Correct. I am keeping mine just for the novelty of it. Also for comparison purposes in case I run into some others one day.
