    hi,

i bought a 1949 franklin half dollar, and i'm thinking it has been cleaned, bu i bought it for face value, so if it is, i lost nothing on it, but if it isn't, yay for me. Photo on 2011-10-19 at 09.52 #2.jpg Photo on 2011-10-19 at 09.53 #2.jpg

It's a melt value coin, $13-14 with current spot prices. Not bad for buying it for only .50, I'll take that any day!

yeah, i work for my friends dad on weekends, but we have no school, so i work for him today. he works at a storage place, so anytime they have a storage unit that wasn't paid for, he calls me in, i hold on to anything i like. and this is one we are going through is full, and i mean full of coins. it's a 5x10 unit too!

That's the type of thing I enjoy hearing about. That's a pretty nice find albeit nothing earth shattering...definitely better than a kick in the old shin.

What market quote are you looking at?

The price for silver closed at $30.95 and the highest it was on the 19th was $31.42. That puts the melt in the $11.20 - $11.36 range, and a buy price from a B&M would be between $8.75-$10 range.

Did you hold on to everything in the unit? I would like the while unit and hold it all :D
