1949 D/S OMM Nickel?

    Got another OMM question 1949D d/s? Looks like a few examples, but it's worn, need a second opinion or two...

    Hello and welcome "newbie! :)
    Two things here: Always click Full image option. It's hard to see what is exactly going on. Secondly, it looks "smooshy", maybe a damaged mintmark??

    Look for the die gouges (red-white arrow)

    Jefferson Nickel 1949-D/S OMM-001

    Mintmarks may look somewhat different for each 49 D/S. Early and late die stages make the D over S look a bit different

    Mine looks a lot like Variety Vista's (below) but not exactly the same as shown in that link above.

    ANACS graded mine but I don't know off hand what the grade was.

    Not at all an OMM but it is a bit crooked and that’s not that unusual.

    It's a damaged MM.
