got this one today...the first 9 has some doubling on the under part of the top of the nine. I couldn't find it posted anywhere on coppercoins though. Please tell me someone else sees this as clear as a bell so I can send it in to be checked...
Michelle, I don't see anything, but the pictures aren't sizing large enough. I checked Coneca and they don't list anything like that either.
Michelle, It's nothing. The coin is damaged anyway. All those lines around the date just moved some metal. Sorry, Bill
Any doubling would most likely be die damage rather then a doubled die. Here's a doubled die on this 1955D-1DO-001
I dont really see any doubling, and may be a "chatter" double. If you take a loupe and put right agianst the lens of your camera, you will be able to adjust it with the zoom, until you can get a clear photo.with very still hands.good luck
Thanks for tips everyone...I will try that Mad.Outcast, been told that works good..like you said with steady hands..
Roll Tide Roll Chris. Ever been to Huntsville? That is our hometown. working down in South Alabama right now.
Unfortunately, all I can say is that I have only driven through Bama many, many times on I-10 only, but I'm always in awe when I see the USS Alabama anchored in Mobile Bay. I'm gonna miss Tebow. I hope he does well with Denver.
