1949 and 1968 Die crack or spike head

    I have two coins with a die cracks or is it called spiked head? This is what I found on the Spiked head:Definition: A spiked head is a coin that has a straight die crack on the obverse, running from the edge of the coin into the portrait. The first one is a 1949 Portvgvesa and the second is Peru 1968.

    A spike head would only apply when there was a human portrait on the obverse. these are die cracks a "spike head" is a specific type of die crack most often refering to a Lincoln cent where the crack sticks into the top of the head
