1948-D error?????

    What is wrong with this nickel? Found it in a roll at the gas station where i work. Is it just PMD? I know the coin is worn really bad. Just want to know what could have happened

    There is no blakesly effect. Also I think a clipped coin would be pulled out of circulation sooner.

    Was this before or after it was punched? It looks to me like it was defective before in was stamped. What does everyone think?
