the early red books sure make money, was wandering the web as you do and found one being sold.i thought the price was a mis-print then remembered seeing someing in the red book itself about the sale of these. So had a lokk and wow. Any red books before 1958 make great money. So if ya have one dont throw it out
I have always found it interesting that the Red Book also has prices in the back for the value of their old issues. There truly is a collector for everything.
I collect Red Books, as well as 50 Kazillion other things. I currently have about 70 percent of the years, and am always looking to add to the collection.
It is very interesting to look through the old books and see the difference in the values. The improvement in the pictures is pretty amazing too.
An interesting listing on that Internet Auction Community... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...sPageName=MERC_VI_RSCC_Pr12_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT
Wow...I've never even seen the first edition for sale anywhere! Looks like a pretty steep price though.
