1947 Nickel Stripes Streaks?

Hello. I've done as much research as I can. I'm not sure if I have an error, like the wood grain pennies, or if someone tried to polish it. Just don't know. I have no others like it, and I have piles of nickels. One off? TY in advance.

For a circulated 47 it looks pretty nice! As to the streaks, I would like to know as well. As there are cents with the mixture of the alloys being off (Woody) I wonder if that would apply to a nickel?

 

I've had that same thought/question. Just never asked. Hope someone who knows responds.

Yes, nickels can be woodies. They are not at all uncommon.

Thanks. I do have another, from a different mint, but not sure if it's "woody, or toning, but again, doesn't look tampered with, and doesn't look anything like any other nickels of that year. I'll repost when I can, side by side.
