Definitely not FS, sorry. I'm guessing low Mint State with weak strike on reverse.

    I think it looks 65.

It does not look FS to me.

    Certainly 64.
The rub on Jeff's cheek could keep it from 65. 50/50.
And from your pic it just misses FS.

I think if you sent it to NGC you could get the 5 Step designation. I'd say MS-65 5 Steps.

Personally I'd say 65 almost FS. There are no major contact marks, the toning is attractive, and the luster is strong. There is a small mark through the steps which I feel precludes it from FS.

MS 64 most probably a 63 if graded by ngc. Weak strike , to many hits on the face, the orange peel in the fields . Still a nice MS specimen but no FS and no 65.

@Paddy54, I think you are being too tough on this coin. :) Some of those "hits" on the face look like planchet roughness that wasn't fully eliminated by the strike. And, orange peel fields is the result of die wear IMO. None of that should count against the coin.

Paul as a nickel collector I have to call it the way I see it. It's nothing personal just the coin to my eyes lacks in strike ,and with the hits wouldn't grade above a 64,especially at ngc. There's the hit on the nose, several on the face, in Tom's hair, on his coat. The strike soft is lacking strong details, the orange peel takes away from the eye appeal.
And lastly the coin is imaged through a 2x2.

I tend to agree the strike is a little weak and the mark on the cheek is not a hit IMO either. Overall a nice Jeff not FS though. MS65
