1946 Error

    I bought this basically in a grab bag and i have no idea how is got liek this. Is it worth anything more becasue of the high rims?

    post mint damage. It spent some time in a commercial clothes dryer.

    what does that mean? I understand what your saying but how could these effects come from that?

    The coins get caught in the fins of the dryer and it flattens the edge and smooths out the face. Laudromats and scrappers find a lot of these in commercial dryers and just put them back into circulation. If you search "dryer coins" here on Coin Talk, you'll find a lot of threads that talk about them.
