I bought this basically in a grab bag and i have no idea how is got liek this. Is it worth anything more becasue of the high rims? Thanks!:
The coins get caught in the fins of the dryer and it flattens the edge and smooths out the face. Laudromats and scrappers find a lot of these in commercial dryers and just put them back into circulation. If you search "dryer coins" here on Coin Talk, you'll find a lot of threads that talk about them.
