1946 d penny error.

    Hiya @coinman2 - Welcome to CoinTalk.

    I am not an expert but it looks like your coin has a lot of "dings" all over it. In other words, it appears to have sustained damage after it left the mint.

    I am not even sure it IS a wheat cent minted in Denver. It may have been minted in Philadelphia where no mint mark was put on 'pennies' until 2017.
