Discovered this among coins in a collection book. I'm new to this world but it looks to me as if the layers of the copper are separating (delamination?) and where it meets the edge, it has been folded back.
Also, where do I go from here to pursue this further such as value etc? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    LeAnne

Yes, you have a lamination error coin, that is starting to delaminate. Some will do that. As to value? That is hard to say other than just what someone will give you for it. You can look on e-bay for what is selling, just the ones that people are bidding on. Then take into account Age, Condision, Mint, then make you own estimate.
And most inportant what is it worth to you.

Yes, very cool Lamination. as far as value goes, there are folks who do buy these errors, but they are pretty common in my opinion.

Your input is truly appreciated and the links to the delamination info were very informative! I will continue on with my pursuit using your suggestions.

That looks pretty cool and legit to the untrained eye (me).
