Received this from my grandson several day ago. This coin is so silver it looks like it has been bleached. Now a 1945 Walker has to have some wear and tear, this one has none.
Casey got it for me at a flea market somewhere on the CT. shoreline near Clinton, CT.
It was listed at $9.00 an AU on its 2x2. He paid $6.00. Not bad at all but was this Walker
whizzed or what? I see no brush marks or very fine scratghes .

It's hard to tell from the photos, but my guess is that it may have been dipped at some point. I'd say the grade is high AU to MS. it's still a great buy at $6.00 considering melt on these coins is $6.50 right now.

I'd say it's an absolute certainty that it has been dipped - over-dipped even.

not really whizzed but very harshly cleaned/dipped.....mabye had at one time some really dark toning , but for the price (as long as you dont mind having a "shiny" half in your colection) a good buy

Nice AU coin and my guess is also that it's most likely been dipped!
