Hey, what do you guys think of this Liberty Walking Half? **Some of these are pretty big so if you don't have the best connection you might not want to click. http://img688.imageshack.us/i/dscn1470.jpg/ http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/4097/dscn1471j.jpg http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/5835/dscn1478.jpg http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/382/dscn1476ue.jpg http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/2749/dscn1473i.jpg http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/4264/dscn1472q.jpg http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/5995/dscn1479u.jpg I tried my best to take pictures, sorry they're kind of large and all over the place but it was my first time taking pictures of coins. It's hard to tell from the pics but it does have a nice luster to it. I had the exposure set to the lowest setting and it kind of masked any sort of luster the coin had and really brought out the tarnish. I've recently acquired quite a few uncirculated coins and I'm planning on getting some of them graded in order to sell them. I don't know the first thing about coins o I've been reading up about numismatics for the past few weeks and I've finally decided it's time I start getting some of these things graded, so I'll probably be asking your guy's opinions on a lot more of these coins. I'll try and get better at taking these pics for next time though.
Shoot those picture "head on" instead of at an angle old fellow. Seems that some parts of the coin wind up out of focus. All in all, very nice though. And welcome to the forum.
I had to go out and purchase a bigger monitor to see your coin. Photos are rather large. NO as to having it graded and slabbed unless you plan on selling it. Serves no real purpose to spend money on something for no reason. If you plan on selling a coin, Especially Silver or Gold ones, they are much easier to sell if slabbed.
I am planning on selling it. I have 1945-1958 pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and half dollars all un-circulated. For each year I have ones with no mint marks, S, and D. I have two coins for almost every date and mint mark as well. This one caught my eye as being really nice so it was the first one I posted. Do you think I should take further inquiries into the "What it's worth" forum? Can't say I didn't warn you. I didn't resize them because I figured you wouldn't be able to see all the detail if I had.
