Hey everyone! I'm new to coin collecting, so I've been going through years of collected change in jars. I found a 1945 copper wheat penny - it's in slightly rough condition, but I thought they made mostly steel pennies in the early 40's. I thought it might be somewhat rare. Any comments?
I found a 1944 copper penny last week. Actually, my girlfriend found it in the bottom of her purse. It was probably an F-12. It is probably only worth $0.10 but I still like to find the old ones once in a while.
Going thru some pennys today I found a 1910 in great shape & a 1942 copper, 1953s, 1955d, 1950, 1953d, & a 1955d . Amazing I'am really into proof coins but since joining this forum I'am know checking out all my pennys lying around, geezzzzzzzzzz this collecting is catchy.
