From the photos and position, it resembles solder blob after the removal of a bail ( loop) , although I am not certain how this coin would qualify as jewelry unless it was sentimental year.
Although just a student, would the the material be of a different compound and appearance as you have indicated? Igot this cent in a tube from an estate sale, nothing special just cents--thanks
