Gotta love friendly bank tellers. Befriended one a while back and went in last night to get a lincoln brick. She asked if I wanted to buy a 50 cent piece. It was a walking liberty I think. Is it worth the .50 cents I paid? And this will more than likely be for the next contest. I don't even want to get started with these. Thanks for any info.

It is 90% silver and according to Kitco Buy price of $8.70 per dollar face, it is worth $4.35 at least. year and grade wise, I would suspect that would be an appropriate asking price from someone. Find the right silver hoarder and it might be $6 or more.
Depends on expectations for silver prices. Nice getting it for face value !
