1944 half

    Have this 1944 half and was wondering if there is any way of telling how this was cut and if it was done at the mint or while in circulation.

    Circulation is my guess.

    It looks like post mint damage maybe by a pair of cutters of some sort.

    Post Mint. A closer picture would help but the cuts on the rim indicate that a cutter, as mentioned, would be the likely culprit
