    Hey Guys,

was going through some wheaties and this 1944 D caught my eye. Looked like something was protruding from the upper right of the D.. Thought I'd goto the experts to see if this could be a 1944 D over S. excited to hear the final verdict

Pictures are too pixelated/blurry for me to tell. My gut says damage, but clearer photos may reveal otherwise.
    Keep up the hunt!

No, it is either damage if incluse or deteriorated die if it is slightly raised. The part that would be considered the "S" mint mark is not the size or shape of the mint mark. I swear I saw the same formation or one very close, in another cent presented here as a possible D/S within the last couple of months.
