    I totally agree.
    I propose that it's more likely a D/D at 1944-D RPMs (varietyvista.com)

Pam, there's a D/S OMM that's a real old and well-recognized one. This isn't it. At least, not based off these fuzzy photos, it isn't.

This is what you're dealing with in terms of the one anybody cares about:

Note how indiscreet this is. That should be the first thing that jumps out at you. The second thing should be you need photos this crisp and clear to tell.

There's money in this one if you can luck onto it. From all we can tell from your photos, yours is a crusty, circulated 1944-D. We need photos of this quality, in other words, as this OMM is that subtle. Even the less-impressive D/D RPMs need this quality, or they can't be diagnosed. You post up a fuzzball, you get fuzzball answers. And that's, I'm sorry to break it to you, just the way it is.

Thanks a bunch. I will try to use my lenses on my digital to see better for all of us. If I get a better shot I will post. Appreciate it!

No problem. Everybody thinks their hopeful finds are tough as a nickel steak. But when it comes to the dough-re-me, particularly in these OMM and RPM types, you just have to have high-quality photos, or you're going nowhere. We just can't tell you anything.

Good morning Pam. I see an S that’s larger and almost above the D. With the real over mint mark that wouldn’t happen. Not entirely sure what you have but I don’t think it’s the D/S or a D/D. It is interesting and therefore I’d put it in a flip to protect it.

The Photos are too pixelated for the details Pam. This one you are going to have to attribut yourself. The MM position is going to be the first step. That would mean that the Primary D is at the same angle height and position in relation to the 9 and 4. It looks close.
If that is correct, then check for damage to the MM. Dings, bag marks, circulation and flattening. Even in a later die stage. There should be evidence of the center of the S protruding from the top of the D.

My cell.. but using my digital to see if I can get a better pic. Usually I don’t have a problem with most photos but as one said, the coin is busy lol.
