1944 British India 1 silver rupee error

    well here is a 1944 British India 1 silver rupee with what I call a ghost 4 as it's barely seen


    I bought this from a small coin company for under $15 they say it's in XF condition

    sorry about the photos but they were taken with a old webcam and a LED desk light

    The Missing 4 is because of a grease filled die.
    Common issue on worn die. Not really a major issue.
    Usually no premium for that.

    Silver melt value and age factor is neat though.

    Welcome to CT. I like rupees too... that looks a lot like a filled die where points on the coin die get filled with debris and you don't see the character

    I like coins that get my notice and this one did so I bought it
    yeah I know it adds no value but being an error coin minor at that it still had to get grabbed for my collection which has many error coins in it
