1943S DDO wheat penny

    I found this 1943S in a roll I was going through today and found this 1943S wheat penny DDO....

    That looks like machine doubling, (no added value). Your coin differs from the known examples, even allowing for the die life stages. The mintmarks were handpunched into the master die as a seperate process so when you see the same doubling effect on the MM AND the date, you can be pretty sure that you don't have a variety.

    That's just how these steelies strike-out sometimes, it's strike doubling.
