1943P nickel what is this?

    top layer of nickel appears to have been "blown" out from inside. Line in collar. Metal
    over "b" in Liberty and small bubbles at "L" in Liberty.

    It's a lamination error. Very common on the war nickels.

    Yes. That "blown" jaw is where it peeled off.

    Agree with a lamination error. Kind of a cool one too. I've never found one like that before.
