    The mintmark was hand-punched into the working die until the 90's. It can't be a doubled die.

    He didn't ask/claim DD he asked if the mint mark was doubled (we know, not the correct term 'repunched', but still a repunch is a double, just not the entire die) . None of that excluded the possibility of the coin having been struck with a doubled die. But we don't see that here either.

    I didn't say that he asked or claimed anything. If you want to read something into my comment, maybe I said what I did because it's nice from time to time when someone comes up with the correct answer by figuring it out for himself. Why do so many people here have to take everything said the wrong way? Geez!
