@Bman33 The mintmark was hand-punched into the working die until the 90's. It can't be a doubled die. Chris
He didn't ask/claim DD he asked if the mint mark was doubled (we know, not the correct term 'repunched', but still a repunch is a double, just not the entire die) . None of that excluded the possibility of the coin having been struck with a doubled die. But we don't see that here either.
I didn't say that he asked or claimed anything. If you want to read something into my comment, maybe I said what I did because it's nice from time to time when someone comes up with the correct answer by figuring it out for himself.
